Our travels, exploits, and adventures

Virginia Beach, VA to Greensboro, NC

July 16, 2011

This morning we woke up and got our mountain bikes down from the roof rack to bike to Fort Story Naval Base where the oldest government built lighthouse in the country resides.  From there, we drove the 6 hours to Greensboro, NC to visit some family.

On our 16 mile mountain biking trip to Fort Story via the Cape Henry trail

Then we biked back to First Landing State Park, broke camp and packed up, and drove to Greensboro, NC

One quick detour on our way at a farm stand so Dondi could get some boiled peanuts

When we got to Greensboro, we had a great dinner and good times catching up with Victoria, Erin's cousin Will, and Aunt Vicky

Hi Erin and Dondi! I love your blog. So happy you made it to Colorado safely and have found a place to call home for now 🙂 All is well here and I am enjoying what is left of the summer before school starts up again. Erin- send my best to your family. I look forward to staying connected through your blog. Talk to you soon!
